Life is all about choices, and for Shivam Sood, making the switch from an IT professional to a business consultant wasn’t just a career shift-it was a step toward personal growth. After completing his schooling at St. Xavier’s High School, he pursued his graduation at VIT University, Chennai.

Shivam spent five years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), starting as a backend developer, where he worked with numbers and technical solutions. But it was during his last two years, when he moved into a client-facing role as a technical consultant, that he discovered something crucial-his true passion lay beyond coding. He wanted to be on the other side of the table-not just executing tasks but driving business strategy and making an impact.

Six teams, including participants from Masters’ Union, IMI, IIT Delhi, SOIL, Amity University, and Dronacharya College of Engineering, advanced to the final round, presenting groundbreaking ideas.

Judges Sanjay Lakhotia and Raman Girdhar, along with SOIL founder Anil Sachdev, challenged participants with thought-provoking questions. StockEdge sponsored the event, supporting its vision of sustainable innovation. The presence of students from Shizenkan University added to the event’s energy.

Introduced Chhavii – Desi by Heart, Global by Design

Shivam and his team put their business concepts into action at SOIL and launched Chhavii, a dropshipping brand with the tagline “Desi by Heart, Global by Design.”

They created a brand that blends cultural pride with global appeal, proving that entrepreneurship doesn’t always require heavy investment.

- Exploring AI in HR with Rucchika Garg (Head of HR, SHARP India) to understand the impact of Gen AI on recruitment and career growth.
- Discussing consulting and marketing with Karan Ahuja, where he delved into marketing strategies and the product life cycle through the power of storytelling.
- Hosting a fireside chat with Prakhar Gupta on The Future of AI in the Workplace, where they debated whether AI is a game-changer or a creativity killer in marketing.
