The pandemic has taught us how to be prepared for crisis – both in our professional and personal lives. True to the saying ‘In the midst of every crisis lies good opportunity’, we could successfully surpass these testing times if we leverage the opportunities the pandemic provides us. If you’re reading this, you’re privileged to be spending time for leisure activities which most people can never afford to, because they’re either affected, or mourning for their dear ones’ loss. So, what can we as the privileged ones do to stop this chain?

We always tend to blame the environment or the government for not controlling the situation, but often we don’t realize the power of our own efforts in making remarkable changes. The pandemic doesn’t just need expensive solutions like improving the health infrastructure or building oxygen manufacturing plants. It also requires very basic and inexpensive solutions like wearing masks properly, maintaining social distancing, not stepping out of the house unless it is necessary and getting vaccinated, as and when available! Above all, we also have the responsibility of spreading awareness to the underprivileged through reliable sources and means, as to how these simple efforts can help magnify the efforts in eradicating the deadly virus.

If you’re well-to-do, donate food & masks to the needy. If you’re educated, find a way to spread awareness on the ways to curb the spread. If you’re an influencer, roll out well-being shows and seminars – as that is the need of the hour. If you’re a volunteer, keep doing what you do. If you do not fall in any of the categories – just stay home and do not spread negativity, the world already has a dump of it! Our combined efforts and cooperation alone, nothing else can help in handling these challenging times.
