Embarking on a journey from pursuing a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering to becoming a Co-Founder of two successful ventures, my professional trajectory has been a fascinating evolution of skills, experiences, and a quest for continuous learning.

Commencing my career with Larsen & Toubro as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, I gained foundational insights into diverse aspects of project planning, fabrication, and safety. Over four years, I progressed through roles, including Senior Engineer and Assistant Construction Manager, where I led teams in the erection and commissioning of structures and equipment in cement plants. However, my aspirations extended beyond the technical domain, pushing me to seek broader knowledge and managerial expertise.

A pivotal moment came when I decided to pursue an MBA, and more specifically a one-year MBA since I considered it less time-consuming, and hence practical. This was a decision influenced by a desire to bridge the gap between technical proficiency and strategic leadership. I found everything that was being offered by SOIL’s PGPM, extremely interesting, and I couldn’t wait to get admission at the top B-school in India!

Joining SOIL marked a transformative period where I delved into a curriculum designed to align theoretical knowledge with real-world application. The program’s industry-relevant approach exposed me to a diverse range of experiences, from sports activities and dance performances to conducting impactful projects. A highlight was my project on “Employee Experience,” focusing on enhancing team dynamics, strategic decision-making, and managerial skills in the IT sector.

The internship during the MBA at Lava International Limited, as a Business Development Manager (Intern) at 1mg was a turning point. I contributed to expanding the company’s presence in South India, negotiating partnerships with diagnostic labs and implementing innovative marketing campaigns. Recognizing my expertise and impact, I was asked to rejoin the company post-graduation. This when when I got a taste of success! I then swiftly climbed the ranks to become a Distribution Manager, overseeing substantial revenue generation and managing diverse teams. Transitioning to Zonal Manager roles, I brought about a transformation in underperforming zones, showcasing my strategic acumen and leadership skills.

My journey took a turn with a shift to Swiggy, where I served as City Business Head, managing a significant Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and leading teams to ensure world-class customer experiences. The experience evolved further as I assumed the role of National Partnership Manager, fostering key partnerships and maintaining healthy unit economic goals.

The culmination of my corporate journey led me to co-found Aasvaada and Box Eat by Rice Bowl, ventures aimed at building customer-loved cloud brands in Hyderabad. From managing monthly GMVs of ~11Cr to ~200Cr, I have witnessed the dynamic nature of the business landscape, adapting and innovating at each step.

Grateful for the enriching journey, I attribute my success to the one-year MBA – PGPM program at SOIL, which fulfilled and exceeded my expectations. It not only equipped me with business skills but also instilled in me a passion for responsible leadership. Today, as a Co-Founder, I draw upon the comprehensive skill set developed through my diverse experiences, with each phase contributing to my evolution as a business leader in this new emerging landscape of India.
