You must have a strong spirit if you want to be a successful person. The spirit factor is very influential in a person’s success in starting a business, the greater the enthusiasm you have, the more opportunities for success will be opened. Even when you experience failure, you will have difficulty rising from that failure. On the other hand, if you have a strong spirit, no matter what the failure, you will get up and move on.

Human nature always seeks support, and guidance from a more powerful source; be it our parents, friends or teacher, or mentor. If we are stuck in a situation and need someone to really guide us to overcome that particular hurdle, we need our ‘Guru’, who is our friend, philosopher, and guide for every step in our life.

Param Pujya Guruji Chinmayananda showed the path and enlightened us. This legacy has been carried forward by our Swami Tejomayananda as the strong pillar of courage and character.

He had been a favorite disciple of Guruji and has served under him for many talks and singing events to spread the reach of the ‘Shrimad Gita’ to common people. Being the guardian of the Chinmaya Mission foundation Swami Tejomayananda has given us the five pillars of SOIL which has been inculcated by each of the custodian. Spirituality and mindfulness have been the foundation pillars of Soil and practiced by the students.

Auspicious Day

Our college is blessed to have the opportunity of celebrating Swami Tejomayanandaji’s birthday on 30th June. On this auspicious day, our students gathered together to host an event. It started with a bhajan named “Durge Durghatbhari” in the melodious voice of Mitesh Borkar. Our esteemed professor Anil Sir then gave a speech enlightening us about Guruji’s achievements. Guruji is a teacher, and one of the spiritual leaders of Chinmaya Mission, a worldwide non-profit organization. He was the one who laid the foundation stone of our esteemed college. Inspired by his teachings SOIL emphasizes compassion as one of the 5 key pillars. Accentuating the value of time Anil Sir referred to GST as Gurudev Standard Time. We could time our watches with the actions of Swami Chinmayananda Ji who served his entire life
to the cause of spreading happiness to all. He taught us that honoring time is honoring Mother India. After his enriching and heartening speech, Harsh graced the stage with a bhajan “Achutyam Keshavam” in his pleasing voice. As God’s grace would have it, we then got to listen to a soulful bhajan in Swamiji’s voice, and then we ended this pure and pious event with Chinmaya aarti.

Purpose

Our founder, Mr. Anil Sachdev has been a devotee for four decades and has learned about his life meaning and its purpose.
