How SOIL supported my career transformation

As an undergraduate or working professional, you’ve probably heard a lot about how having a master’s degree might help you develop your career more quickly. This information is completely true in my experience. Doing the PGPM program in Human Resources from SOIL institute of management has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

I have been a Human resource enthusiast since my graduation days and was sure about doing a masters in HR. While I researched about the best HR programs in the country, SOIL and its curriculum got all of my attention and made me sure that this is the place for me. Now that I’ve completed 10 months at the institute, I’m really proud of my decision and excited about the course’s all-encompassing character. The PGP program at SOIL takes a holistic approach, combining studies in management, self-leadership, design thinking, and other relevant subjects into a one-year program. SOIL’s curriculum and professors are what set it distinct from other B Schools across the country. Faculty members encourage us to talk about what we’re learning and to challenge their ideas. We are encouraged to contribute and share our ideas on topics rather than sitting through a three-hour lecture with the lecturer doing the majority of the talking.

I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by peers and mentors who make class meetings challenging, encourage critical thinking, and provide many opportunities to develop a broad skill set applicable to a variety of business careers. SOIL instilled in me a strong sense of self-assurance and honed a set of skills that enable me to make informed decisions.

We are also always encouraged to work in a variety of teams, which allows us to widen our horizons and explore as much as possible. We also are able to gain insights from global industry experts as part of the program’s curriculum.

Every one of us here at SOIL is a leader in making. My experience has carved me into the person I’ve always wanted to be by taking me down the path of self-realization, providing plenty of opportunities to help me become a better version of myself.
