11th Inspired Leadership Conference @ SOIL – ‘Digital Journeys’

The Inspired Leadership Conference popularly known as ILC is an annual flagship event of SOIL (School of Inspired Leadership) which aims to create a platform for leaders with a vast amount of experience to share their journeys and get synergized along with future leaders. So far, it has been a 10-year legacy where we have hosted many notable speakers around the world who have shared their thoughts on various themes and inspired the students with their experiences. Embarking into a new decade, the theme decided by the students for this year is “Digital Journeys: Transforming Vision to Reality”. Being on the verge of stepping into 2020, this would be the most ideal topic for young minds to explore rapid advancements in the current technology-driven world. Thus, students show great desire in acquiring the knowledge by hearing from such top industrialists.

The business leaders and industrialists share their vivid experiences in an open forum where valuable discussions are built on the theme, engaging both students and faculties. Some notable speakers in the past were Gurucharan Das (Author, Thought Leader), Bhaskar Bhatt (Managing Director, Titan Industries), Laura Kohler (Senior Vice President, Kohler Co.), Harsh Mariwala (Chairman, Marico Industries), Anshu Gupta (Founder, Goonj), Rahul Khosla (President, Max Group). This year as well, such top industrialists and speakers will take part in the conference to have a discussion on the theme “Digital Journeys: Transforming Vision to Reality”. They have witnessed these changes in society or organizations, or they expect to see such changes in the future. It is an opportunity for all to interact with the leaders and learn from their insights.

Rapid advances in digital technology are redefining society. Digital transformation provides the industry with unparalleled opportunities for value creation. What took the current fortune 500 companies to reach the billion-dollar mark, currently takes less than 5 years to become the unicorn. At present, digital transformation is not well understood, and several myths are obscuring the path to realizing its potential for value creation. The initiative demystifies some of the most common myths about digital, revealing, for example, the true extent of disruption by digital start-ups, how the impact of automation on employment is likely to be very different from today’s received wisdom on the subject, and how leaders can play an instrumental role in enabling the digital journey to harness its real advantages.

Some key contents that will be discussed by top business leaders in the conference will be Understanding Digital Journeys, Future of HR and Workplaces in the Era of Digitalization, AI-powered Solutions in Industry, Role of Leadership in Digitalized Era and a lot more. As future leaders, we will be enlightened on these handles which would enable us to understand the digitally transforming industries, the challenges and opportunities we aught to face in the future.

This is a platform for students to take responsibilities and showcase their managerial skills by organizing such a cognitive event involving business stakeholders. Each SOIL student takes immense pride in their roles to uncover the success and the benefit they get out of this conference, which is of prime importance for the School of Inspired Leadership. This December 13th and 14th, 2019 will be marked as a glaring memory not only for students but also for everyone who is a part of this 2 – day inspiring conference. Overall, Inspired Leadership Conference proves out to be a knowledge-sharing platform for every individual to explore industrial challenges, current trends, build a network and thereby become inspired leaders.
