While technical skills are essential, developing emotional intelligence is crucial for aspiring or current leaders to foster teamwork and bring out the best in their teams.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"business-design-new\">What are the Emotional Intelligence skills that leaders need?<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"mr-top10\">Self-awareness<\/h3>\n<p>This entails understanding one&#8217;s strengths, weaknesses, emotions, beliefs, and motivations. Despite its simplicity, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kornferry.com\/about-us\/press\/korn-ferry-institute-study-shows-link-between-self-awareness-and-company-financial-performance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">survey by Korn Ferry found that 79% of executives had blind spots<\/a> &#8211; skills they viewed as strengths but were perceived as weaknesses by others.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders proficient in managing emotions can better grasp others&#8217; feelings and motivate employees. Conversely, a lack of self-awareness can lead to decreased performance.
