However, recent tumultuous events like the COVID pandemic, the Ukraine war, and geopolitical tensions between superpowers have led to hitherto unknown business situations. Supply chain blockages, zooming interest rates, the threat of a looming recession, etc. are redefining the way economies and businesses are run. The era of jams to the movement of people, ideas, and trade is here, and hopefully temporary. The hint of de-globalization and national rhetoric is causing significant disruption and is drawing new patterns. This era of shrinking globalization has reached an inflection point and needs skills like critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.  <\/p>\n<p>In this changing business environment, the chasm between relevance and obsolescence can widen very fast.  If organizations are to stay relevant, they must adapt to change but this needs to be prompted before change demands the need to adapt. There is a demand for new-age managers to continually adapt and help their organizations remain relevant. This could be internal with employees and external with customers and investors. The key change, however, lies in keeping abreast globally with emerging trends and markets and foreseeing the extraneous circumstances that may have implications and may demand innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The face of MBA education has to keep in sync with these realities. Learning has to be more flexible than ever. B-Schools have to gear up and diversify their pedagogy to create value for MBAs and employers by producing globally aware and multi-skilled working professionals. The MBA offered by b-schools needs to embrace this challenge and help their students to stay ahead of the curve and anticipate what is to come.
